L’estate turistica irpina: continuiamo ad abbuffarci di eventi, ma il turismo non c’è.

Oggi 2 agosto 2024, ha inizio il mio settimo agosto da Amministratore Locale (del Comune di Caposele – Avellino) e la situazione è sempre peggio per il turismo Irpino e dell’Alta Valle del Sele.

Mi alzo stamattina e, nella mia consueta rassegna mattutina di letture mi imbatto nel titolone de Il Mattino: “Musei e siti archeologici finanziati 18 beni culturali” ma tra le righe dell’articolo leggo “I finanziamenti coinvolgono musei, beni culturali, parchi archeologici e naturalistici in tutta la regione (all’appello manca solo la provincia di Avellino)”.

Nello stesso momento mi arriva notizia della chiusura per il mese di Agosto dell’Oasi di Senerchia.

Chiusa ad agosto.

Il Ristorante e l’Albergo Diffuso di Quaglietta sono chiusi, possibili visite guidate autonome o accompagnati dai volontari della Proloco di Quaglietta (encomiabili direi).

Sono a conoscenza del fatto che il Parco Archeologico di Conza sia chiuso per mancanza di servizio civile (anche se qui la Città dell’Alta Irpinia pare riserverà qualche sorpresa).

Villa D’Ayala di Valva chiusa per lavori fino a data da destinarsi.

Non ho ancora fatto approfondimenti su altri siti, mi scoraggia.

Per fortuna Laviano con il suo Ponte Tibetano è aperto per tutto il mese di agosto e oltre.

Ok, bene. Anzi no. Malissimo.

Ma dove vogliamo andare in queste condizioni?  

Intanto però tutti felici: arriva Agosto e siamo alle solite. Balliamo e cantiamo, facciamo sagre e festini “nui cu nui” (trad. tra di noi) in attesa che arrivino i turisti, i soliti turisti che non alzano il PIL locale e che assorbe risorse pubbliche per eventi che non aiutano il turismo, quello vero.

Finanziamo gli eventi, anzi in verità quest’anno la Regione Campania non ha finanziato nemmeno quelli, e ci scordiamo di supportare i servizi turistici di base: informazione, accoglienza, aperture di musei e parchi, visite guidate, attività all’aperto, promozione, ecc.

Non esiste un piano strategico turistico d’area provinciale/regionale, si prova a lavorare insieme poco e troppo lentamente.

Stamattina quindi mi sono incazzato perché mi rendo conto che gli sforzi che stiamo facendo a Caposele non trovano altre strade per far esplodere il vero fenomeno turistico in questo angolo di Campania. Da soli non bastiamo e non bastano le nostre aperture, le nostre attività di promozione, www.visitcaposele.it, la partecipazione alle fiere, le brochure, i continui messaggi per sapere come vanno le cose nei comuni vicini: non bastiamo.

Per fare turismo c’è bisogno di tutti perché a Caposele siamo passati dalla domanda: quando sono aperte le Sorgenti del Sele? (a cui oggi noi siamo in grado di dare risposta) alla domanda: ma cosa si può fare nei dintorni? (a cui abbiamo invece sempre più difficoltà a rispondere).

I nostri visitatori chiedono di un territorio e noi non siamo in grado di rispondere con un territorio perché gli altri ci sono a singhiozzo, troppo a singhiozzo.

Questo accade perché, come dico da anni, il turista non vede i confini comunali e se non remiamo tutti nella stessa direzione le cose andranno peggio, anzi le cose stanno andando già peggio.

Da Amministratore potreste dirmi che un po’ la colpa è mia ma io sono solo un Consigliere Comunale di Caposele che il suo, credo, lo stia facendo.

Sono un semplice Consigliere Comunale che solo non ha altri mezzi, se gli altri guardano da un’altra parte. Ci vogliono più servizi, più accoglienza, più promozione, più progetti integrati, più programmi e piani turistici, più supporto alle attività turistiche diverse dagli eventi.

Perché gli eventi sono anche turismo, ma non il solo turismo.
